About HANNE KRISTIANSEN

Hanne Kristiansen was born and raised in Norway, and has been making her own clothes ever since she was a small child, starting with a dress that she fashioned out of her grandmother's curtains.

Upon graduating high school, Hanne left her small, rural town and moved to London; but eventually ended up squatting until she was discovered by a major modeling agency.

From that day on, starting with her very first job in The Face magazine, she continued to appear virtually nonstop in print, as well as on televisions and runways around the world.

Twelve years later, after working with the likes of world renowned designers Chanel and Yve St. Laurent, Hanne retired from modeling and settled in LA, inspired to take advantage of all she had learned. Soon after, "Hanne's Handmades" was born, and her clothes were being sold in stores up and down Melrose and Beverly Boulevards in Hollywood, and worn by a slew of celebrities.

Then, still determined to know even more about her craft, Hanne enrolled at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandise (FIDM) in downtown LA, and eventually graduated at the very top of her class.

Today, her labels just say, "Hanne Kristiansen," but she still makes every garment herself, a fact that helps her loyal customers truly appreciate and understand her unique, personalized delivery estimates (more details). Additionally, Ms. Kristiansen also works as a costume designer, producer, and still photographer on her husband's films - actor, director, writer Larry Holden (www.holdenautomotive.com).
